When Hamilton Carhartt founded his company in 1889 in Dearborn, Michigan he wanted to produce working clothes for factory workers and railway personnel. Carhartt overalls and jeans were tailored to the workers demands, featuring robust materials and equipped with many pockets. The company grew over time and got popular around the world. In 1989, 100 years after the company was founded, Edwin and Salomee Feah started distribution of Carhartt in Europe, after a few years they started creating their own collection, Carhartt WIP. Carhartt Work In Progress is the contemporary way of living the Carhartt brand, reshaping the outstanding Carhartt workwear legacy.
